We are seeking a Sr. Oracle DBA for Oracle Database management in an infrastructure environment that has other databases like Mysql, Cassandra, Postgres, MS Sql Server etc. This is primarily a production (physical DBA role -75%), 30% logical database activies (applications side).

Key Activities:

• Writes job scripts using operating system commands to execute sequential procedures
• Participates in system architecture design activities, including the creation, management, and implementation of project plans of high complexity
• Provides support to the application and development support staff
• Creates and manages status reports including tracking all DBA staff activities and project status updates
• Assists developers with optimizing SQL scripts
• Works with developers to allocate complex objects from the data dictionary
• Works independently, with minimal supervision
• Interfaces/liaisons with other technical experts, including Architects and Treasury DBA’s
• Possess excellent communication skills.

Qualifications:

• 7-8+ yrs as Oracle DBA in a production environment (Physical DBA activities)
• 3+ yrs of experience in MySQL as a DBA
• 3+ yrs in SQL tuning, PL/SQL, scripting using Shell, Perl, Python
• Hands-on using technologies such as GoldenGate, RMAN, replication, ADG (Active Data Guard)
